Dianne Jansson course
On Saturday January 29th the Sorrento mystery quilt will be presented and on Sunday January 30th the feathered star medallion will be presented. Attached are supply lists for the classes.
As the Sorrento quilt normally take 2 days, there are some prework to be done. The instructions for the prework will be given out early in January (hard copies). The quilt works well with a Jinny Beyer border print as the main fabric. Suzy Q's has a few meters of a Jinny Beyer border print left as well as other border print fabrics. The de ja vu fabric will also work well with the pattern - also available at Suzy Q's. For people who wish to spend the Sunday working on the Sorrento quilt, you can sign up for the Sunday and Dianne will help in between presenting the other course.
The feathered star medallion can be expanded to a larger quilt by repeating some of the blocks.
The course fee still have to be finalised, it depends on the number of people signing up but will be somewhere between $55 to $80 per day (With more people, the fee goes down. For 12 people per class the fee will be $60 per day for our guild members. Non members will pay an additional fee of $15 per day.). If you sign up, you have to pay the course fee or get someone else not signed up to attend in your place.

Thank you to Suzy Q's quilt shop for supporting the quilt guild in various ways and for allowing us to present the course in their class room. Set up will be from 8:30 am and the classes will be from 9 am to 4 pm.
Guild members will have the first chance to sign up for the courses. Sign up to non-members opened on December 23rd.
